South Carolina Beta University of South Carolina Chapter of Mu Sigma Rho Mu Sigma Rho is the national honorary society for statistics. Its purpose is the promotion and encouragement of scholarly activity in statistics, and the recognition of outstanding achievement among the students and instructional staff in eligible academic institutions. Our Chapter of Mu Sigma Rho involves graduate students at all levels, undergraduates, faculty and professional statisticians. Activities include outreach and service to the profession.

To join Mu Sigma Rho: Undergraduate Students: * At least 2 years of college * At least a 3.25 GPA (overall and in stats classes) * At least 8 credit hours in statistics (at least 5 hours at the 500 level)   Graduate Students: * Full-time student status * At least 18 hours of graduate study * At least a 3.5 GPA Please contact Dr. Dewei Wang (deweiwang@stat.sc.edu) for induction.
