My name is William Cipolli III, Will for short. I'm originally from a small town in Connecticut, right outside of New Haven - which I love. Not far from there, I earned my BA in Mathematics and my BS in Computer Science from Quinnipiac University, in Hamden, Connecticut. Now, I am a Statistics graduate student and teaching assistant at the University of South Carolina.
I'm very interested in machine learning and high dimensional data analysis. I hope to earn a PhD in Statistics with research in these areas and I intend to follow this with a career in academia, perhaps after some time in industry.
As excited as I am about Math and Statistics I do have some other hobbies. I very much enjoy reading, listening to music and cooking. For exercise, I enjoy defeating Dr. Pena in squash and the more challenging activity of chasing my pet Greyhound Dempsey around the NOMA Bark Park and Yappy Hour at Jake's. I also have, and love, a 1989 BMW appropriately named Emmy after the German mathematician known for being a bit high maintenance.
